CAR HIRE in Disneyland Paris

In Marne la vallée-Chessy station (the station for Disneyland Paris), hire a car is easy: Avis or Hertz (this one is the official hire car partner of Disneyland Paris).

DRIVING IN FRANCE RULES

    • Drive on the right

    • Fasten seat belts front and rear into the car are compulsory

    • Drink driving laws: blood alcohol level 0.5 mg/ml.

    • Vehicules on main road are priority

    • France speed limits:

    On sunny days: 130 km/h for motorways, 110 km/h for dual carriageways, 90 km/h for open roads and 50 km/h in towns

    On rainy and snowy days: 110 km/h for motorways, 100 km/h for dual carriageways and 80 km/h for open roads.

    • A valid driver’s license is compulsory. Have your passport to proove your identity if you don’t have photographies on your driver’s license. Carry an International Driving Permit (IDP) with you.

    • Minimum age of driving: 18 years old (just see below)

    • Proof of car or motorhome’s insurance and your vehicule registration (carte grise in french)

    • Some requirements are compulsory (list below): baby seat, helmet....

DRIVING AGE in France

    • minimum age for driving to Disneyland Paris by car: 18

    • Put an A (equivalent of L) on the back of your car if your licence is less than 2 years old. Buy a magnetic one in any petrol station in France.

DRIVING REQUIREMENTS in France

    Safety jacket or warning triangle: compulsory if you are going to Disneyland PAris by car.

    • Helmet for motorcycle

    • Baby car seat for toddlers under 15 kg and rehaussor for kids under 10.

    • For Great britain cars (left hand drive): headlamp converters used during the fog or heavy rain or snowy weather.

TOLLS in France

Most of the highways have tolls (except in Bretagne, A20 between Orleans and Souillac, in the suburb of the town).

Just after Disneyland Paris, you may have a toll in the direction Metz-Nancy. Pay with your Visa card or use some euro coins.

FUEL PRICES in France

Pretty scary prices! 1,45 €/litre for SP95/E10 (petrol-essence) and 1, 26 €/litre for gazoil.

The nearest petrol station from Disneyland Paris:

• Supermarket carrefour in Bailly Romainvilliers.

Auchan Val d’Europe in Serris. Open 24/24H.

In Val d’Europe, you can also do some shopping or eat chinese or Halal food or find a big food supermarket .

Intermarché, Esso, Total, Carrefour, Auchan, Shell, BP, Agip, Leclerc are the main petrol station in France.

It’s easier to look at a petrol station when you fnown what you are looking for!

During my last travel, I didn’t known the name of the petrol station (eg, caltex) so we spend some much time to find it....

ITINARY to Disneyland Paris by car:

FROM PARIS to Disneyland Paris by car

35 minutes drive (with no traffic jam!)- 44 km- no toll; 4€ for gasoil

    •From central Paris, join the quai de la rapee on right bank (the scenery is fabulous). Follow the signposted Paris-Bercy, Gare de Lyon.

    • Keep the middle line when you approach Gare de Lyon (the exit for the Gare de Lyon will be on right). Go ahead for 5 km.

    •You merge on the quai de Bercy. After Paris-Bercy, follow the signposted A4 Metz-nancy, Périphérique, Porte de Bercy.

    • You merge on A4. Go Ahead for 48 km. Take care of the 2 speed control on the highway (vitess limit at 90km/h) just after you merge on A4.

    • Leave the A4 at jonction 14 (signposted Sortie 14 Parcs Disney-bailly romainvilliers). Carry on for 2 km on Avenue Paul Seramy. Then merge right (signposted Parc Disneyland-parc walt disney studio).

    •Carry on 2 km before you arrive at Disneyland Paris. Ouf!

Drive to Disneyland Paris Top

FROM BEAUVAIS AIRPORT to Disneyland Paris by car

1H30 minutes drive (with no traffic jam!)-125 km- toll:3,5€; 14,6 € for gasoil

How safe is it to drive for the first time from paris beauvais airport to disneyland paris by car?

The road is nice but a lot of traffic jam near Paris. Look ahead extratime for this journey.

• From the airport, join the A16 motorway, signposted A16 Cergy-pontoise,Amiens,Paris,Compiegne.

• Take A16 and carry on for 48 km then branch right (signposted airport Charles de gaulle-Paris Porte de la Chapelle).

• Then merge onto the D301 and follow the signposted Cergy-pointoise, aeroport charles de gaulle then signposted aeroport charles de gaulles-Viarmes. You merge onto D104.

• Follow the signposted N104 Chantilly, airport Charles de Gaulle, Goussainville, Louvres. Carry on for 14 km.

• Leave the D104 at jonction 98 (signposted SORTIE 98 Senlis-Louvres-Gonesse).

• On the roundabout, take the second exit (signposted Sarcelles-goussainville-gonesse-Roissy en France. You merge onto D317. Carry on for 7 km. You merge onto D 370.

• On the roundabout, take the first exit (signposted A 104 Charles de Gaulle- Bobigny-Paris-Senlis). You merge onto D170. Carry on for 2 Km.

• When you approach Aulnay-sous-bois, follow the signposted A104 Lyon-Meaux-Chelles-Marne la valle-Mitry Mory-Villeparisis. Carry on for 28 km.

• Near Lagny sur Marne, branch right (signposted A4 Metz-nancy-Reims-Marne la vallee-Val d’europe). You merge onto A4. Carry on for 12 km.

• Leave the A4 at jonction 14 (signposted Sortie 14 Parcs Disney-Bailly Romainvilliers). Carry on for 2 km on Avenue Paul Seramy.

• Then merge right (signposted Parc Disneyland-parc walt disney studio).

Carry on 2 km before you arrive at Disneyland Paris. Ouf!

Eurodisney by car Top

FROM ORLY AIRPORT TO Disneyland Paris by car 51 km -45 minutes drive (with no traffic jam!)- no toll. 4,20 € for gasoil-

• Get out from the airport. Follow the signposted Paris- périphérique d’ile de France.

• Join the A86 motorway (signposted A86 Creteil).

• Carry on for 10 km and follow the signposted A4 A1 Lille-Metz-Nancy-Marne la vallee-Bobigny-Nogent sur Marne.

• Carry on for 3 km. After Joinville le Pont, take the exit A4-A5 Troyes-Metz-Nancy-Marne la valle-Champigny centre. You merge onto A4.

• Carry on for 27 km. Leave the A4 at jonction 14 (signposted Sortie 14 Parcs Disney-Bailly Romainvilliers).

• Carry on for 2 km on Avenue Paul Seramy. Then merge right (signposted Parc Disneyland-parc walt disney studio).

• Carry on 2 km before you arrive at Disneyland Paris. Ouf!

Eurodisney by car Top

FROM CHARLES DE GAULLE AIRPORT to Disneyland Paris by car

45 minutes drive (with no traffic jam!)- no toll. 5 € for gasoil-51 km

From Charles de Gaulle airport to Disneyland Paris by car, the road is safe but French people will toot on you!

• From the airport, Follow the signposted Paris.

• Join the A104 motorway (signposted A104 Marne La Vallee, Sarcelles, Z.I. Paris-nord II, Parc Des Expositions-Paris Est).

• Carry on for 6 km and follow the signposted A5 Lyon-Marne la vallee-Sarcelles Gonesse-Parc des expositions, then just after,the signposted Marne la valle-Lyon-Paris Nord 2-parc des expositions

• When you approach Tremblay en France, follow the signposted A104 Lyon-Meaux-Chelles-Marne la valle-Mitry Mory-Villeparisis. Carry on for 28 km.

• Near Lagny sur marne, branch right (signposted A4 Metz-Nancy-Reims-Marne la vallee-Val d’europe).

• You merge onto A4. Carry on for 12 km.

• Leave the A4 at jonction 14 (signposted Sortie 14 Parcs Disney-Bailly Romainvilliers).
